- Emptied Litter Genie & wiped down
- Refilled bird feeders + hummingbird feeders
- Refreshed couch pillows in dryer
- Swept deck, outside entrance & yard walkway
- Took out recycling: metal, paper, plastic
- Wrote out grocery list
As Needed:
- Emptied bathroom wastebasket
- Food prep: emptied & refilled ice trays; grind coffee (1+ jar); rinsed carrots
- Made hummingbird food
- Refilled litterbox & outside water dish
- Refreshed bath towels in dryer
- Took out household garbage
- Vacuumed mud room
Daily:
- Changed kitchen dish cloth
- Cleaned litter box
- Descaled tea kettle
- Dishes: handwashed, dried, put away
- Emptied food scrap bucket
- Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
- Made meals
- Opened driveway gate
- Pet the cats & put food/water out
- Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
- Refilled Berkey water filter
- Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
- Vacuumed entire house
- Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; lunch cooler bag
Downtime:
- Blogging, IMDb, journaling, online puzzles, solitaire, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
- Relaxed with my husband: ate chicken taquitos with refried beans dinner & watched episodes of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’
AVOIDING HOUSEWORK INVITES STRESS:
Putting off what has to get done can add stress to anyone’s life and especially for a housewife who either puts off housework until the last minute or doesn’t do housework at all.
Avoiding housework doesn’t just impact a housewife but everyone who lives in the home; a housewife can’t expect others to rise above her and do housework when she doesn’t set the example by doing housework herself.
If a housewife doesn’t tend to her housework tasks with diligence, her home and family suffer the consequences, and she does too.
Living in a mess doesn’t feel good and neither does living with stress; adding stress to a home and the people in it by not taking care of a home can easily be resolved by simply doing housework every day to make home the best it can be.
