- Laundry 5 loads: towels, tops, mix, pants, delicates
- Mopped bathrooms & kitchen
- Refilled: OdoBan spray bottles (bathrooms & laundry)
- Refreshed in dryer: bathmats + lint rolled; couch/electric blankets & pillows
- Swept outside entrance
As Needed:
- Food prep: cut up cucumber; rinsed carrots; took out sausages & turkey to thaw; sliced cheese
- Ironed 1 shirt
- Refilled bird bath & feeders
Yardwork:
- Removed dandelions from yard (>30 minutes)
Daily:
- Changed kitchen dish cloth
- Cleaned litter box
- Descaled tea kettle
- Dishes: washed, dried, put away
- Emptied food scrap bucket
- Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
- Made meals
- Opened driveway gate
- Pet the cats & put food/water out
- Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
- Refilled Berkey water filter
- Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
- Vacuumed entire house
- Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; lunch cooler bag
Downtime:
- Blogging, IMDb, journaling, online puzzles, solitaire, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
- Relaxed with my husband: ate salad, burgers with gouda/jarlsberg cheese sauce and onion rings dinner & watched episodes of ’21 Jump Street’
IT’S EASY TO BE CYNICAL ABOUT HOUSEWORK; THE CHALLENGE IS HAVING A GOOD ATTITUDE:
There’s nothing difficult about being cynical toward housework and hating housework. Housework isn’t always hard, but sometimes the biggest challenge with housework is having a good attitude day after day, which is an important duty of a housewife. While daily housework provides value to a family, a housewife’s good attitude is also of value and something her family can admire along with a clean home.
