What I Did Today: Wednesday 7/6/22

Monthly:

• Bleach soak toilet brushes
• Cleaned Berkey water filter

Weekly:

• Bleach soak & wash: dish brushes, food scrap bucket, sink strainers
• Cleaned oven glass
• Laundry 4 loads: towels + dish mats & Berkey mat, clothes tops, clothes pants, delicates; wiped down inner drum & lid  
• Scrubbed dishrack & kitchen sink 
• Wiped down kitchen window

As Needed:

• Food prep: cut up cucumber; emptied & refilled ice trays; refilled ghee jar & turkey container; took out butter for cookies & to thaw 
• Refreshed bath towels in dryer

Daily:

• Changed kitchen dish cloth & soaked in OxiClean 
• Cleaned litter box
• Descaled tea kettle
• Dishes: washed, dried, put away
• Emptied food scrap bucket
• Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
• Made meals 
• Opened driveway gate 
• Pet the cats & put food/water out
• Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
• Refilled Berkey water filter
• Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
• Vacuumed entire house
• Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; lunch cooler bag

Downtime:

• Exercise: Kettlebell swings 300am (8kg; 60 swings x 5 sets)
• Blogging, IMDb, journaling, online puzzles, solitaire, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
• Relaxed with my husband: ate salad, pork chops with roasted broccoli dinner & watched episodes of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ 

HOUSEWORK IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE A DOMESTIC ARTIST:
A housewife gets to show off her domestic artistry with every housework task she accomplishes. Even though a housewife doesn’t sign her name on her works of art, she leaves her own signature mark on the clothes she folds, on the beds she makes, on the floors she vacuums, and in the food she cooks. When her family sees the results of her work, they see her signature mark of love and care that she puts into each task.
