What I Did Today: Sunday 8/7/22

Weekly:

  • Baking soda scrub coffee pot, coffee/tea mugs & tumblers
  • Changed towels in bathrooms & kitchen (+ sponge)
  • Emptied household wastebaskets
  • Wrote out grocery list & put away groceries

As Needed:

  • Food prep: cooked bacon (1 package); filled ice trays; refilled eggs container; rinsed carrots   
  • Put away online orders

Daily:

  • Changed kitchen dish cloth 
  • Cleaned litter box
  • Descaled tea kettle
  • Dishes: washed, dried, put away
  • Emptied food scrap bucket
  • Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
  • Made meals 
  • Pet the cats & put food/water out
  • Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
  • Refilled Berkey water filter
  • Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
  • Vacuumed entire house
  • Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; lunch cooler bag  

Downtime:

  • Blogging, IMDb, journaling, online puzzles, solitaire, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
  • Relaxed with my husband: enjoyed our weekly breakfast; snacked & watched ‘The Amityville Horror’

A HOUSEWIFE TAKES A BREAK WHEN SHE NEEDS IT:
When life throws something unexpected at a housewife, it’s okay to take a break from the usual housework routine. In fact, taking an unplanned break can lead to a new routine or figuring out an easier way to get a task done. Even though a housewife is at rest doesn’t mean her mind is at rest though; when it’s time to return to housework, she feels better, has new ideas about her housework tasks, and has a refreshed outlook on the importance of her role as a housewife.
