What I Did Today: Sunday 10.30.22

Weekly:

• Baking soda scrub coffee pot, coffee/tea mugs & tumblers
• Changed towels in bathrooms & kitchen (+ sponge)
• Emptied household wastebaskets
• Put away groceries 

As Needed:

• Food prep: filled ice trays; refilled lemon juice squeeze bottle; rinsed carrots
• Made toothpaste 
• Refilled: baking soda container & OxiClean jar 
• Restocked bathroom supplies 

Daily:

• Changed kitchen dish cloth 
• Cleaned litter box
• Descaled tea kettle
• Dishes: handwashed, dried, put away
• Emptied food scrap bucket
• Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
• Made meals 
• Opened driveway gate 
• Pet the cats & put food/water out
• Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
• Refilled Berkey water filter
• Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
• Vacuumed entire house
• Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; Litter Genie & scoop; lunch bag cooler 

Downtime:

• Blogging, design shops, IMDb, journaling, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
• Relaxed with my husband: enjoyed a lunch outing & watched ‘The Amityville Horror’

A DIRTY HOME IS SCARIER THAN HOUSEWORK:

When it comes to another day of housework, it can be tempting to run away screaming and let the dirt take over. 

But, as scary as daily housework can be, living in a messy, dirty, filthy home is far scarier. 

A housewife has to weigh the alternatives sometimes to tap into her housework mojo: live with the dirt or live with the housework. 

It’s worth considering the alternative when it feels like housework doesn’t matter, because deep down a housewife knows that living in a clean home does matter and that she has the power to make it happen.
