- Refreshed bathmats in dryer + lint rolled
- Washing machine: wash cycle with Borax; wiped down inner drum & lid
- Wiped down steam mop & vacuum
As Needed:
- Food prep: grind coffee (1 jar); refilled olive oil bottle; restocked drinks (hydration packets & tea), kitchen freezer & pantry; took out bacon, chicken & turkey to thaw
- Restocked vitamins
Daily:
- Changed kitchen dish cloth
- Cleaned litter box
- Descaled tea kettle
- Dishes: handwashed, dried, put away
- Emptied food scrap bucket
- Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
- Made meals
- Opened driveway gate
- Pet the cats & put food/water out
- Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
- Refilled Berkey water filter
- Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
- Vacuumed entire house
- Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; Litter Genie & scoop; lunch cooler bag
Downtime:
- Blogging, design shops, IMDb, journaling, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
- Relaxed with my husband: ate salad with chicken bakes dinner; watched ‘Werewolves Within’
JUNK DOESN’T BELONG IN A DRAWER:
When it comes to home organization, junk belongs in the garbage, not in a drawer.
To have a designated ‘junk’ drawer creates an excuse to not keep a drawer organized – and why would anyone want to organize junk? It’s junk.
However, supplies are handy and helpful, and supplies require organizing so that they are easy to find when needed.
By using the word 'supplies' and having a designated supply drawer, junk and the mess it creates go away, and organized supplies take their place.
