• Spot-cleaned bathrooms

Weekly:

• Changed towels in bathrooms & kitchen (+ sponge)
• Emptied household wastebaskets

• Refreshed bathmats in dryer + lint rolled
• Washing machine: wash cycle with Borax; wiped down inner drum & lid 
• Wiped down steam mop & vacuum

As Needed:

• Food prep: cut up cucumber; portioned & vacuum-sealed steaks for freezing; refilled butter dish & eggs container + mayo & mustard squeeze bottles; restocked drinks & kitchen freezer; took out chicken & turkey to thaw 
• Replaced light bulb in salt lamp (living room)

Daily:

• Changed kitchen dish cloth 
• Cleaned litterbox
• Descaled tea kettle

• Emptied food scrap bucket
• Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer

Downtime:

• Blogging, design shops, IMDb, journaling, watched movies/TV, Wii sports 
• Relaxed with my husband: ate salad, sausages and green beans (sheet pan style) with cheesy sourdough bread dinner & watched ‘The Commish: Dog Days’ (S3, E14)

A day at home isn’t always filled with big things and that’s what life at home is all about for a housewife – appreciating the little things of everyday life. 

Organizing the pantry, getting through with laundry, or watching nature outside a window while doing dishes may all seem like little things that don’t make a difference because they are easily overlooked as wonderful things, but those things do make a difference for the better.
