Monthly:

• Added vinegar to toilet tanks

Alternate Week:

• Deep-cleaned bathrooms
• Wiped down hand steamer

Weekly:

• Changed towels in bathrooms & kitchen (+ sponge)
• Emptied household wastebaskets

• Mopped bathrooms & kitchen
• Refreshed bathmats in dryer + lint rolled
• Washing machine: wash cycle with Borax; wiped down inner drum & lid 
• Wiped down steam mop & vacuum

As Needed:

• Food prep: cut up cucumber; refilled olive oil bottle & turkey container; restocked drinks, kitchen freezer, fridge & pantry; took out bacon to thaw
• Restocked sinus packets 

Daily:

• Changed kitchen dish cloth 
• Cleaned litterbox
• Descaled tea kettle

• Emptied food scrap bucket
• Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
• Made meals

• Vacuumed entire house

Downtime:

• Blogging, design shops, IMDb, journaling, watched movies/TV, Wii sports 
• Relaxed with my husband: ate salad, sausages with green beans (sheet pan style) and cheesy sourdough bread & watched ‘The Commish: Romeo and Juliet’ (S3, E17)

A HOUSEWIFE RESPECTS THE BUDGET:

A household budget only works when a housewife and her husband both respect it. 

To respect a budget is to understand and appreciate its purpose which is to put financial priorities and necessities before frivolities; it’s not that a budget can’t include frivolities, but those come after shelter, food, utilities, insurances, and the things that are necessary for a home. 

A budget doesn’t work when only one person respects it and the other ignores it, which will most likely create more problems. 

When a housewife and her husband both live within their means and follow the budget that they agree upon, they not only respect the budget, but they respect their partnership as well.
