July 2021 Housework Diary

Every day I have housework goals to accomplish, and July gave me two extra quarterly housework goals: 

  1. clean the washing machine with vinegar & baking soda
  2. run the self-clean cycle on the oven

Last year I missed the July cleaning of the oven, so it felt great to get it done and get a step closer to my 2021 new year goal of doing all the quarterly cleanings this year, which is an improvement on last year.

My quarterly schedule for the washing machine & oven is January, April, July and October; now I just have October left to do and the cooler weather will make it better.

The biggest challenge for me with the July oven cleaning is adding all the extra heat in the kitchen and in the house, but there are far worse things to deal with in life -- like living with a dirty oven that never gets cleaned!
