Cooperative: involving mutual assistance in working toward a common goal.
Without a goal, it’s hard to know what to work toward;
that’s why I’ve made it a goal to keep my marriage intact and being cooperative
is a step in the right direction.
Along with the goal of staying married, we both have goals
within our marriage to help us improve our partnership and ourselves
individually.
Whether it is financial goals, my husband’s career goals, my
housework goals, or our physical fitness goals, we keep each other informed of
what we are working towards so we can both help each other achieve the goals we
want.
I don’t sit back and let him tell me what my goals are, and
I don’t tell him what his goals are; nor do we make it harder for the other to
achieve the goals; we assist each other by cooperating and helping each other
stay on track.
Even though we have our own goals, we make sure the goals
work for what we both want in our marriage and in our home; the purpose of
having our goals is that they will make us better together and for each other;
and success won’t happen without us both being cooperative.
