- Disinfected & wiped down: all door handles & light switches, elliptical, furnace, kitchen cupboard doors & handles, laundry basket, oven, refrigerator, remotes, TV stand, washer & dryer (inside & outside), workout gear
- Emptied Litter Genie & wiped down
- Refilled outside water dish
- Refreshed couch pillows in dryer
- Swept outside entrance
- Took out recycling: metal, paper, plastic
- Washed cat dishes + mat
- Wrote out grocery list
As Needed:
- Food prep: cut up cucumber; refilled lemon juice squeeze bottle
- Refreshed bath towels in dryer
- Took out household garbage
Yardwork:
- Dead-headed rhododendrons; weeded beds (1 hr)
Daily:
- Changed kitchen dish cloth & soaked in OxiClean
- Cleaned litter box
- Descaled tea kettle
- Dishes: washed, dried, put away
- Emptied food scrap bucket
- Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
- Made meals
- Opened driveway gate
- Pet the cats & put food/water out
- Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
- Refilled Berkey water filter
- Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
- Vacuumed entire house
- Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; lunch cooler bag
Downtime:
- Exercise: Kettlebell swings 300am (8kg; 60 swings x 5 sets)
- Blogging, IMDb, journaling, online puzzles, solitaire, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
- Relaxed with my husband: ate salad, chicken taquitos with refried beans dinner & watched ‘Double Impact’
A NEW MONTH OF HOUSEWORK BRINGS NEW OPPORTUNITIES:
Every month a housework cycle starts again, and every month is a new opportunity to improve the home. When it feels like there is nothing new to housework, then it’s time to find something new to improve in the house; for example, is there something that gets missed because it’s not part of the regular cleaning routine. Begin incorporating any missed cleaning opportunities regularly to improve housework skills and improve the home.
