What I Did Today: Monday 8/22/22

Weekly:

• Bookkeeping: Added weekly receipts to monthly worksheet (home); organized receipts (business)
• Laundry 2 loads: towels, microfiber cloths; wiped down inner drum & lid 
• Mopped bathrooms & kitchen
• Refilled: OdoBan spray bottles (bathrooms & laundry)
• Refreshed in dryer: bathmats + lint rolled; couch blankets & pillows 
• Swept deck, outside entrance & yard walkway 

As Needed:

• Food prep: refilled lemon juice squeeze bottle & turkey container; restocked cheeses & drinks
• Made gallon batch of OdoBan disinfectant 
• Oil Diffusers: emptied, rinsed & refilled 
• Refilled: bird bath & hummingbird feeder; outside water dish 
• Replaced batteries in magnetic light  
• Watered outside plants 
• Wiped outside entrance rail 

Daily:

• Changed kitchen dish cloth 
• Cleaned litter box
• Descaled tea kettle
• Dishes: washed, dried, put away
• Emptied food scrap bucket
• Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
• Made meals 
• Pet the cats & put food/water out
• Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
• Refilled Berkey water filter
• Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
• Vacuumed entire house
• Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; lunch cooler bag 

Downtime:

• Blogging, IMDb, journaling, online puzzles, solitaire, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
• Relaxed with my husband: ate salad and steak & eggs dinners; watched episodes of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ 

A HOUSEWIFE MAKES HOUSEWORK EASIER:
Since it’s up to a housewife to tackle housework every day, it’s also up to her to create ways to make housework easier for herself. Breaking big tasks down into smaller steps is one way to make housework easier. It also helps to do a little work at a time instead of waiting to do a lot of work at once; for instance, when family comes home at the end of the day and the next wave of work hits, rather than waiting a housewife can take steps to prepare for that wave by doing dinner prep work early and having the next day’s lunch already made. Housework has to get done, but it doesn’t have to be harder than necessary; with some thought and planning a housewife can make housework easier.
