What I Did Today: Monday 10.24.22

Alternate Week:

• Dusted: entrance, living room, office & office bathroom
• Polished wood furniture
• Wiped down living room chairs

Weekly:

• Bookkeeping: Added weekly receipts to monthly worksheet (home); organized receipts (business) 
• Laundry 4 loads: towels x 2, microfiber cloths, whites; emptied lint trap; wiped down inner drum & lid 
• Refilled: OdoBan spray bottles (bathroom & laundry)
• Refreshed in dryer: bathmats + lint rolled; cat blanket; living room blanket & pillows 
• Swept outside entrance 

As Needed:

• Food prep: cut up cucumber; refilled candy jars & turkey container; rinsed carrots 
• Refilled tealight candles 
• Took out household garbage & tidied cardboard recycling 

Daily:

• Changed kitchen dish cloth 
• Cleaned litter box
• Descaled tea kettle
• Dishes: handwashed, dried, put away
• Emptied food scrap bucket
• Made bed & refreshed blanket in dryer
• Made meals 
• Opened driveway gate 
• Pet the cats & put food/water out
• Prepped coffeemaker & tea kettle for the morning
• Refilled Berkey water filter
• Set-up morning dishes & vitamins
• Vacuumed entire house
• Wiped: bathroom mirror & faucet handle; gadgets; kitchen counters/stovetop; Litter Genie & scoop; lunch cooler bag 

Downtime:

• Blogging, design shops, IMDb, journaling, watched movies/TV, Wii sports
• Relaxed with my husband: enjoyed a dinner outing & a night off from dishes

TIME OFF DOES A HOUSEWIFE GOOD:

A housewife knows that staying home is a blessing, but that doesn’t mean the routine never takes its toll or that she doesn’t have bad days when things don’t go as she hopes. 

While housework never stops, it does a housewife good to take time off when it’s needed, for her sake and the sake of her loved ones. 

When a housewife isn’t happy, it doesn’t make her family happy, but when she treats herself to a break, it makes her happy and her family happy too.
