A LITTLE HOUSEWORK GOES A LONG WAY:

While it may feel sometimes that housework takes ‘forever’, without timing oneself it’s hard to know how long it actually takes. By timing housework tasks, a housewife can learn just how much she can get done in a short amount of time, and small tasks that take only 10 or 15 minutes can make a world of difference in the cleanliness and appearance of her home.

KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE. CLEANING IS THE OTHER HALF:

Knowing what needs to be done when it comes to daily housework tasks makes it easier to do what needs to be done. Routines, processes, and systems all go into cleaning as much as the act of cleaning, as well as knowing how to clean. When a housewife starts each day knowing what to do and ends each day with a plan for what to do the next day, her housework is already half done.

A HOUSEWORK ROUTINE IS A ROUTE TO A CLEAN HOME:

Creating a housework routine for each day of the week makes housework easier and makes a home consistently clean. Breaking down a home by sections is a good starting place when creating a routine; take care of a section of the home each day along with high-traffic areas so that when the day is over the high-traffic areas are in order, and when the week is over the entire house has been cleaned.

SO SHINES A CLEAN HOME IN A WEARY WORLD:

A clean home doesn’t solve all the problems of the world, or all the problems that people have inside the home; and while a clean home seems somewhat insignificant when world events threaten the comforts of daily life, a clean home in a dreary and weary world has the power to make life better for those who choose to see it that way.

A CLEAN HOME IS A HOUSEWIFE’S VALIDATION:

While it’s nice to hear praise for keeping a home clean and in order, the reality is that a housewife may not hear it every day. However, not to hear verbal validation does not mean her work isn’t appreciated, or doesn’t matter, or is not noticed. She is the one who notices the results of her labor more than anyone else, and when a housewife looks around her home and sees her accomplishments, that is validation she can feel good about.

A WELL-DESERVED REST IS THE BEST:

Being done without housework feels good, but what makes it best is when a post-housework rest has been earned after taking care of what needs to be done. When a housewife invests her time into improving her home with housework, she can rest satisfied knowing that she was productive and that her home is better than it was before she started.

A GOOD HOUSEWIFE IS HARD TO FIND:

It is not chauvinistic for a man to want his wife to be a good housewife. When a husband takes on the responsibility of financially supporting a housewife and family, he deserves to have a wife at home who equally supports him by providing a clean home to relax in when he gets home, clean clothes for work, food when he needs it, along with an understanding that when work comes first, she must be patient and appreciate that he is supporting her while she supports him.

BEING A HOUSEWIFE IS THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME:

When a woman chooses to be a housewife rather than having a career outside the home, she isn’t passing up an opportunity but gaining an opportunity that only she can fulfill. To take care of a husband and family is not a given in life, nor is it a right; it is a privilege, and it is something that a housewife can do like no other woman, because her husband and family are hers to care for with love.

A PROACTIVE HOUSEWIFE SETS HERSELF UP TO SUCCEED:

When a housewife takes proactive steps in her daily housework tasks, she brings success on herself. Being proactive includes storing and organizing cleaning supplies in handy locations so they’re easy to reach and put away, rather than leaving them disorganized and hard to find; preparing lunches for family the day before instead of waiting until the last minute in the morning; staying on top of laundry so clean clothes are always on hand, rather than getting buried in dirty laundry. By staying a step or two ahead of the daily demands of housework, a housewife can succeed with satisfaction.

PROCRASTINATING TAKES LONGER THAN DOING:

A productive housewife starts each day by getting into the swing of housework as soon as possible instead of procrastinating. The longer it takes to get going, the longer it takes to get housework done; and if something unforeseen occurs later in the day, such as a power outage, it’s better to be done with housework early rather than having more housework to do the next day due to procrastinating. The more housework piles up, the more there is to do and the more overwhelming it can feel, which is why it’s best to make it a habit to always start housework early.

A relaxing and orderly home, where there is no shortage of clean clothes and dirty dishes aren’t piled in the sink, is a home that offers comfort to those who live in it, and they know they are loved by the woman who puts care into her duties as a housewife.

IT’S EASY TO BE CYNICAL ABOUT HOUSEWORK; THE CHALLENGE IS HAVING A GOOD ATTITUDE:

There’s nothing difficult about being cynical toward housework and hating housework. Housework isn’t always hard, but sometimes the biggest challenge with housework is having a good attitude day after day, which is an important duty of a housewife. While daily housework provides value to a family, a housewife’s good attitude is also of value and something her family can admire along with a clean home.

IF BEING A HOUSEWIFE IS WRONG,
I DON’T WANT TO BE RIGHT:

Being a housewife may seem like the wrong thing to do when women are expected to work outside the home for 30 years and become breadwinners; but there is nothing wrong with finding fulfillment, purpose, and satisfaction in caring for one’s home and family in a way that only devoted a housewife can.

A GOOD HOUSEWORK PLAN INCLUDES PLANNING FOR A REST:

Daily housework requires a plan with certain tasks for certain days; the benefit of a housework plan is planning for heavy housework days and lighter housework days, because on the lighter days it’s necessary to take it easy, enjoy hobbies, spend time with family, and get plenty of rest for the week ahead to prevent burning out.

A WOMAN’S PLACE IS IN CONTROL OF HER HOME:

A housewife who stays home all day and cares for her home every day is in control of her home; she is the one in charge of arranging, cleaning, decluttering, and organizing her home; being in charge of numerous housework tasks, along with being an owner of the home, empowers her and gives her control the likes of which she can never get as an employee at a job.

HOUSEWORK THAT IS WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING WELL:

Housework is the same as any other skill that is performed in the work world; if a woman is expected to do her best at a job, then there is no reason for a woman not to do her best when it comes to housework. Job performance reflects the worker, and housework reflects the housewife; housework that is done well is something a housewife can be proud of.

BEING A HOUSEWIFE DOESN’T MEAN A HUSBAND GETS TO BE A SLOB:

A housewife who takes care of her home every day is not a doormat for her husband to take advantage of by making housework harder than it needs to be. As an adult, a husband is not excused from putting his dirty clothes in hampers, or wiping toilet seats when he makes a mess, or being respectful of his wife’s housekeeping standards when she devotes herself to making their home the best it can be.

A PRODUCTIVE HOUSEWIFE IS A SATISFIED HOUSEWIFE:

When a housewife is productive in her home by dedicating herself to tackling daily housework tasks without a negative attitude, she can look around her home and feel satisfied when she sees what she accomplished; she can also feel satisfied knowing that her productivity has created a comfortable environment for her family when they come home.

IT’S GOOD TO HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE WHEN DOING HOUSEWORK:

When a housewife has a good attitude when doing housework, she does more than clean away visible dirt; her good attitude passes through her with each task which leaves behind positive energy, filled with love; while the energy can’t be seen like a clean carpet, it is felt by her family that she loves and cares for every day.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POSITIVE IMPACT OF A HOUSEWIFE:

A full-time housewife creates a positive impact in her home by caring for it and her family every day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (and 366 days in a leap year!). A housewife doesn’t get days off, she is the only woman in a home, and she doesn’t juggle housework with the work world; she alone can raise the quality of life in her home by dedicating herself to her role as a housewife; so, when family comes home each day, they receive the benefits of an orderly home that has been cared for with love.

WORLD PEACE BEGINS WITH A HOMEMAKER:

A homemaker makes a peaceful home when she keeps it clean, orderly, and well-managed. A peaceful home can have noise, but there is no tension between husband and wife, there is no arguing about money or laundry, there is no discontent due to a poorly managed home. When family leave a peaceful home each day, they take that peace into the outside world; therefore, a homemaker who gives her family a peaceful home also gives peace to the world.
